What are the differences between an orangery and a conservatory?
An orangery falls somewhere in between an extension and a conservatory. Orangeries tend to have large windows and a raised glass roof, all supported by a strong brick structure. Also, they often utilise a roof lantern which helps to increase the amount of natural light that is able to make its way through into your home.
Conservatories are another style of home extension, with ours featuring glass walls and either pitched glazed roofs or tiled roofs. Like orangeries, conservatories can be a fantastic option to help increase the amount of both fresh air and natural light into your property and of course increasing the overall size and quality of your living space.
There are differences when it comes to the general glazing of the roofs and walls, with an orangery generally having less than 75% of its roof glazed and less than 50% of its walls glazed. A conservatory, meanwhile, is typically a fully-glazed structure with over 75% of its roof glazed and over 50% of walls glazed.

Always use Leamore for new windows and always been impressed with their customer service. Never any issues if there’s a problem to be sorted. We had Chris round today to make an adjustment to our bifold doors and there was no issues getting a slot and Chris did a great job. Will definitely use Leamore for any future requirements
